FLEETS DISPATCHER @ ELEGEX LOGISTICS LIMITED
Elegex Logistics Limited is seeking a detail-oriented Fleets Dispatcher to join our operations team in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. This role acts as the critical bridge between our drivers, warehouse staff, and clients to ensure that all logistics operations run smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating complex delivery schedules, optimizing routing to reduce transit times, and providing real-time tracking updates for all active shipments. You will be the primary point of contact for resolving day-to-day transport hurdles, such as traffic delays or vehicle breakdowns, requiring a proactive and calm approach to problem-solving.
Beyond daily dispatching, the Fleets Dispatcher will maintain rigorous documentation regarding fuel usage, delivery notes, and incident reporting. The role demands high proficiency in logistics software and a strong commitment to safety and compliance standards. Key Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration.
2 to 3 years of experience as a dispatcher, logistics coordinator, or similar transport role.
Proficiency in MS Office suite, specifically Excel and Word.
Hands-on experience with GPS tracking and fleet management software.
Professional fluency in both English and Swahili.
Strong multitasking and organizational capabilities.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle unexpected route disruptions.
Willingness to work flexible shifts or provide support during on-call duties.
Deep understanding of local transport regulations and safety protocols.
Strong interpersonal skills for coordinating between drivers, clients, and internal teams.
