East Africa Nickel Company is seeking two dedicated and skilled Plant Operators to join their Mineral Processing team in Nachingwea, Lindi. The successful candidates will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of various processing equipment, including conveyors, crushers, and pumps. The role involves monitoring production processes, adjusting settings to maintain product quality, and ensuring that all plant production targets are met effectively while adhering to strict safety protocols.
This position requires candidates to perform routine inspections and basic maintenance checks on equipment to prevent downtime. The job is based in Tanzania, specifically in the Nachingwea area of the Lindi region where operators will collect samples and record operational data accurately. Candidates must be willing to work in rotating shifts, including days and nights, and maintain accurate records of operational data. Key Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Mineral Processing, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience working in a processing plant or mining industry.
Proven ability to understand technical instructions and read process flow diagrams.
Physically fit and able to work rotating shifts including Days and Nights.
Strong commitment to Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) rules and regulations.
Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively with supervisors.
Experience operating and monitoring conveyors, crushers, screens, and pumps.
Proficiency in adjusting process settings to maintain product quality.
Capability to perform routine inspections and basic maintenance checks on equipment.
Skilled in collecting samples and recording operational data accurately in shift logs.
