The Senior Accountant role at Dubai Marine Beach Resort & Spa is a project-based position requiring a high level of financial expertise and attention to detail. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing comprehensive financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance. A primary focus of this role involves project accounting, where you will be tasked with cost tracking, budget alignment, and providing detailed financial reports to ensure project transparency and efficiency.
Beyond basic accounting, the Senior Accountant is expected to ensure full compliance with UAE VAT regulations, handle VAT filings, and facilitate both internal and external audits. You will perform regular bank reconciliations, maintain accurate documentation, and contribute to the company's financial health through strategic forecasting and planning. Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related academic field.
A minimum of 3 to 5 years of professional accounting experience within the UAE.
Prior experience in project-based industries such as construction or contracting.
Strong working knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and practical filing experience.
Proficiency in accounting software including Tally, QuickBooks, or SAP systems.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
Proven ability to manage AP, AR, and general ledger operations effectively.
Experience in bank reconciliations and comprehensive account reconciliations.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex financial problems.
High attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
Capability to coordinate internal and external audit processes.
Ability to support long-term financial forecasting and project budgeting.
