CONTRACTS SPECIALIST – RAILWAY PROJECT @ DOHWAINDIA
We are seeking a highly skilled Contracts Specialist to join our team for a significant railway rehabilitation project spanning from Tabora to Isaka, Tanzania. This project involves the supervision of railway track, bridges, and culvert rehabilitation works covering 135 KM, along with the Isaka Terminal. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all contractual matters, reviewing contractor claims, and ensuring compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
As a Contracts Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in project success by providing expert contractual advice and managing essential correspondence. This position requires a professional with deep experience in large-scale infrastructure projects, specifically in the railway sector. You will operate within an 8-month contract, working closely with engineering teams to oversee remediation and maintenance contracts to ensure the highest standards of project delivery.

Key Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering and/or Contract Law.
Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in Contract Management for major engineering works.
Experience in construction, rehabilitation, remediation and maintenance contracts.
Served in a similar position on at least 2 railway projects within the last 10 years.
Proven expertise in Contract Management and Claims.
Strong knowledge of contractual correspondence, contract interpretation, and administration.
Excellent written and spoken English proficiency.
Professional engineering or legal registration is highly preferred.
Previous working experience in Sub-Saharan Africa is an added advantage.
Ability to manage complex multi-disciplinary railway infrastructure project documentation.
