MECHANICAL INSPECTOR ENGINEER @ DOCG
DOCG is currently seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Inspector Engineer to join our team in Tanga. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough mechanical completion inspections, performing system walkdowns, and ensuring all equipment and piping are fully prepared for handover. You will play a critical role in the quality control process by preparing and managing essential documentation, including Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), checklists, and technical reports to ensure full project compliance.
Furthermore, this position requires active coordination with the Main Contractor and EACOP/Client representatives to manage inspection requests and secure necessary approvals. You will be tasked with identifying non-conforming work through the NCR process, following up on corrective actions, and re-inspecting rectified items to meet the highest industry standards. This role is based in Tanga, Tanzania, and requires a professional committed to maintaining high-quality engineering standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
Registration with the Engineers Registration Board (ERB) Tanzania.
2 - 3 years of relevant mechanical inspection or QA-QC experience.
Proven experience in mechanical equipment and piping fabrication.
Proficiency in welding inspection and installation oversight.
Strong knowledge of Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and quality documentation.
Ability to manage NCR processes and corrective action reporting.
Strong interpersonal skills for coordination with contractors and clients.
Capacity to prepare and manage complex project dossiers.
Excellent technical writing skills for report and record maintenance.
