MECHANICAL DOCUMENT CONTROLLER @ DOCG
DOCG is seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Document Controller to join our project team in Tanga. The successful candidate will be responsible for the comprehensive control, logging, distribution, and tracking of all incoming and outgoing mechanical project documents, drawings, and correspondence to ensure project continuity.
Furthermore, the role involves managing the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS), supporting quality and handover processes by maintaining Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), RFIs, NCRs, and final turnover dossiers. You will also serve as a vital link, coordinating documentation transfers between the Main Contractor, EACOP/Client representatives, and sub-vendors to maintain project standards and compliance.

Key Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Information Management.
2-3 years of experience in document control for mechanical projects.
Expertise in handling piping, fabrication, and welding documentation.
Advanced proficiency in Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS).
High-level competency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
Demonstrated ability to maintain data accuracy and traceability.
Strong organizational and communication skills for stakeholder coordination.
Ability to prepare and compile final turnover dossiers and test packs.
Familiarity with industrial or oil and gas project document workflows.
Proven ability to manage incoming and outgoing project correspondence.
