FLEET MANAGER (1 POSITION) @ DISMAS REGNALD
A reputable Logistics & Transportation Company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fleet Manager to join their team in Dar es Salaam. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the company's fleet, ensuring all vehicles are well-maintained, and managing a team of drivers to optimize delivery schedules. You will be expected to utilize technology to track fleet performance and implement strategies to reduce operational costs. Key responsibilities include coordinating maintenance tasks, monitoring fuel efficiency, and ensuring all transport activities comply with local regulations. The role requires a candidate who can work under pressure and has a strong background in logistics. The candidate must be able to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors to maintain a high level of service quality.
Key Requirements
Bachelor Degree in Logistics & Transportation, Computer Science, or related field
Minimum 5 years’ experience in fleet manager position
Strong computer skills and proficiency in fleet management software
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience in monitoring fuel consumption and managing operational costs
Knowledge of vehicle maintenance schedules and safety compliance
Ability to manage and train a team of professional drivers
Expertise in route optimization and dispatching procedures
Strong analytical skills for fleet performance reporting
Familiarity with local transportation laws and regulations
