Days Sparkle is seeking a highly organized and efficient Transport Officer to oversee our logistics operations in Masasi, Mtwara. This critical role involves managing the daily transport activities, ensuring the timely and cost-effective movement of goods, and maintaining our fleet of vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transport management within a logistics environment, demonstrating the ability to optimize routes, manage drivers, and comply with all transport regulations.
Your responsibilities will include planning and scheduling deliveries, coordinating with drivers and other departments, and overseeing vehicle maintenance and repairs. You will also be responsible for ensuring adherence to safety standards and efficient resource allocation to meet operational demands. This position is vital for maintaining the smooth and efficient flow of our logistics services.

Key Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of experience in transport management, preferably within a logistics company.
Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, road safety, and fleet maintenance.
Proven ability to plan and optimize delivery routes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Experience in managing a team of drivers and coordinating logistics staff.
Proficiency in logistics software, GPS tracking systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong problem-solving abilities to address operational challenges promptly.
Effective communication skills for coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all transport activities.
