FRENCH TO SWAHILI TRANSLATOR @ DANVAST
Danvast is seeking a skilled French to Swahili Translator to join our team in Dar es Salaam. The successful candidate will be responsible for converting written materials from French into Swahili while ensuring the original meaning, tone, and context are preserved. This role is crucial for our cross-cultural communication efforts and requires a deep understanding of linguistic nuances in both languages. The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of one year of professional translation experience and demonstrate exceptional written communication skills. Beyond basic translation, you will be expected to review and proofread translated texts for accuracy and consistency. Key Requirements
Minimum 1 year of translation experience
Fluent in French and Swahili
Strong written communication skills
Proficiency in Computer-Assisted Translation (CAT) tools
Excellent understanding of grammar and syntax in both languages
Ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining high quality
Cultural competence and sensitivity in both French and Swahili-speaking regions
High level of attention to detail and accuracy in translation
Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Translation, or a related field
Strong research skills to ensure accurate terminology usage
