INDEPENDENT NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR @ CRDB BANK FOUNDATION
The CRDB Bank Foundation (CBF), the social investment branch of CRDB Bank Plc, is seeking a highly qualified Independent Non-Executive Director to join its board. This critical leadership role focuses on strengthening the Foundation’s financial oversight, assurance, governance, and long-term strategic direction. The appointee will play a pivotal role in shaping the Foundation’s impact in entrepreneurship, financial inclusion, and the empowerment of women and youth across Tanzania.
The successful candidate will act as a guardian of the Foundation's mission, providing independent judgment and constructive challenge to the management team. You will be responsible for overseeing financial stewardship, rigorous risk management, and the overall effectiveness of the organization’s social impact programs. This role requires an individual who can balance high-level strategic thinking with a deep understanding of corporate governance, ensuring the Foundation remains a leader in sustainable development and social investment.

Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Auditing, Commerce, Banking, or Business Administration.
Professional certification such as CPA(T), ACCA, CIMA, CIA, or equivalent.
At least 5 years of senior-level experience in finance, accounting, auditing, banking, or governance.
Proven experience in risk management, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.
Strong understanding of fiduciary responsibilities and Tanzanian regulatory frameworks.
Exceptional strategic thinking and independent decision-making capabilities.
Demonstrated experience engaging with government ministries and international development partners.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for stakeholder management.
Commitment to sustainable development, gender equity, and youth empowerment.
Proven integrity and ability to provide constructive challenge at the Board level.
