GL ACCOUNTANT (1 POSITION) @ CONNECTING MINDS HR SERVICES
Connecting Minds HR Services is seeking a dedicated and experienced GL Accountant on behalf of our client based in Abu Dhabi. This role is initially offered as a six-month contract with a strong potential for full-time conversion depending on performance and organizational requirements. The ideal candidate will be an immediate joiner who possesses deep expertise in general ledger accounting and a thorough understanding of financial reporting frameworks.
As a GL Accountant, your core responsibilities will include the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements and ensuring absolute compliance with IFRS/IAS standards and UAE regulatory mandates. You will also be expected to support audit cycles by providing necessary schedules and reconciliations while maintaining the integrity of the general ledger. This position requires a professional who is proficient in ERP systems and advanced Excel to manage complex financial data efficiently.

Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
Minimum 3+ years of professional experience in IFRS-based financial reporting.
Demonstrated knowledge of IFRS and IAS accounting standards.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar software.
Previous work experience within the UAE market is highly preferred.
Ability to join immediately as the role is for an urgent requirement.
Proven ability to prepare accurate quarterly and annual financial statements.
Strong analytical skills with a focus on reconciliations and documentation for audits.
Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and auditors.
