NETWORK SUPPORT ENGINEER @ COMPUTER CENTRE (CCTZ)
Computer Centre is seeking a highly skilled Network Support Engineer to join the technical team in Dar es Salaam. This role is pivotal in maintaining robust client infrastructures by installing, configuring, and managing comprehensive network and security solutions. The successful candidate will be the primary point of contact for technical support, providing both on-site and remote assistance to ensure client systems operate at peak efficiency. Beyond troubleshooting, the role involves proactive pre-sales support, where you will help design solutions and present them to prospective clients, ensuring their technical requirements are fully understood and met. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of client support, from initial configuration to post-troubleshooting follow-ups, ensuring long-term functional stability and high levels of customer satisfaction. In addition to technical execution, the position requires diligent administrative management, including tracking work records, compiling detailed performance reports, and escalating complex problems to the appropriate channels. Continuous professional growth is a core expectation, with the engineer required to undertake specific technical certifications as assigned by the company to stay ahead of industry trends and security standards.
Key Requirements
Bachelor`s Degree in Information Technology or a related field of study.
Proven experience in installing and configuring client network and security solutions.
Ability to respond promptly and effectively to client IT support requests.
Experience in providing networking and security pre-sales support.
Strong presentation skills for demonstrating technology solutions to clients.
Competency in providing technical support via on-site visits and remote-access systems.
Commitment to following up with clients to ensure system functionality post-intervention.
Excellent relationship management skills to maintain positive client rapport.
Ability to track and manage detailed work records and documentation.
Capacity to compile and send technical reports according to a set schedule.
Willingness to carry out and achieve professional certifications as assigned.
Ability to manage problem escalation processes where applicable.
