2. CIVIL PROCUREMENT OFFICER @ COGENT DXB
Cogent DXB is looking for a dedicated Civil Procurement Officer to manage the sourcing and acquisition of materials and services for our construction projects in Abu Dhabi. This role is critical in ensuring that all civil and structural materials are procured efficiently, cost-effectively, and in accordance with project specifications. You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining strong relationships with local UAE suppliers and subcontractors, negotiating contracts, and managing vendor performance to ensure timely delivery. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in supply chain management within the UAE construction sector. You will collaborate with the engineering and finance departments to optimize procurement processes and manage budgets effectively. By ensuring the availability of high-quality materials and services, you will play a vital role in the successful completion of our infrastructure and building projects throughout the region. Potential work locations are based in Abu Dhabi with site visits as necessary.
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration
5–6 years UAE construction procurement experience
Strong knowledge of civil and structural materials procurement
Experience dealing with UAE suppliers and subcontractors
Good negotiation and vendor management skills
Ability to manage complex procurement cycles
Knowledge of local market pricing for construction materials
Proficiency in procurement software or ERP systems
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail in contract review and compliance
