FINANCIAL CONTROLLER @ COCCO LAGOON
Cocco Lagoon is seeking a meticulous Financial Controller to oversee the financial operations of our luxury resort in Pemba, Zanzibar. This role is critical to the success of our international project, ensuring that all financial systems and controls are in place and functioning effectively. You will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring compliance with local and international financial regulations.
Working closely with the General Manager and department heads, you will provide strategic financial guidance to optimize resort profitability. You will manage the finance team and oversee day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. Key Requirements
Certified Public Accountant (CPA), ACCA, or equivalent qualification.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of experience in hospitality financial management.
Proficiency in SunSystems, Opera, or similar hospitality ERPs.
Expert-level knowledge in financial reporting and internal auditing.
Strong understanding of Tanzanian tax laws and financial regulations.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Significant experience in budgeting and capital expenditure management.
Leadership skills to effectively manage and mentor a finance team.
High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
