CMTL Group Ltd is a fast-growing logistics and transportation company headquartered in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, providing transport, distribution, warehousing, and clearing & forwarding services across Tanzania and the region. As part of our continued growth and operational strengthening, we are seeking to recruit a highly analytical, professionally astute, and commercially aware Senior Accountant to join our Finance and Accounts Department. This is a senior-level role reporting directly to the CEO and requires a confident, detail-oriented, and highly capable finance professional. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial reporting and analysis, taxation and statutory compliance, cash flow management, accounts receivables and payables management, budgeting, and cost control. You must possess advanced analytical capabilities, strong financial interpretation skills, and the ability to independently prepare and analyze complete financial statements and management reports. The role involves managing the complex operational finance demands of a large-scale transportation and distribution network.

Key Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Accounting & Finance, or BCom Accounting.
CPA (T), ACCA, CIMA, CFA, or equivalent professional accounting certification.
Strictly mandatory minimum of 2 years of accounting experience within a logistics-related company.
Minimum of 4 years of total accounting experience specifically in the logistics sector.
Demonstrated experience handling financial operations related to transportation, warehousing, or freight forwarding.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling.
Proven ability to independently prepare and analyze complete financial statements and management reports.
Strong knowledge of taxation and statutory compliance regulations.
Extensive experience with accounting or ERP systems.
Excellent analytical capabilities and strong financial interpretation skills.
