CMTL Group Ltd is a rapidly expanding logistics and transportation company, offering a comprehensive suite of services including transport, distribution, warehousing, and clearing & forwarding across Tanzania and the broader region. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health and compliance of the organization.
Key responsibilities for this position encompass financial reporting, detailed analysis, and management reporting to support strategic decision-making. You will be responsible for taxation, ensuring compliance with all relevant financial regulations, managing audits, and implementing robust internal controls. The role also involves critical cash flow management, budgeting processes, and proactive financial planning. Furthermore, you will be instrumental in transport costing, assessing route profitability, and managing fleet costs effectively. A significant aspect of this role is the leadership of finance teams and providing strategic financial support to the entire business.

Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accountancy (BA Accounting), Accounting & Finance, BCom Accounting, or a related qualification from a recognized institution.
Must be a Tanzanian national.
Mandatory experience in a Logistics Company.
At least 2 years of previous accounting experience specifically in the logistics sector.
Minimum of 4 years of total experience in a logistics company.
Strong understanding of financial reporting, analysis, and management reporting principles.
Proficiency in taxation, compliance, auditing processes, and internal controls.
Experience with cash flow management, budgeting, and financial planning.
Proven ability in transport costing, route profitability analysis, and fleet cost management.
Desirable to have CPA (T), ACCA, CIMA, CFA or equivalent certification.
Desirable to have advanced financial modelling or data analysis training.
Experience with accounting or ERP systems.
