CMTL Group Ltd is a fast-growing logistics and transportation company headquartered in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, providing transport, distribution, warehousing, and clearing & forwarding services across Tanzania and the region. As part of our continued growth and operational strengthening, we are seeking to recruit a highly analytical, professionally astute, and commercially aware Senior Accountant to join our Finance and Accounts Department. This is a senior-level role reporting directly to the CEO and requires a confident, detail-oriented, and highly capable finance professional with strong experience in the industry. The successful candidate must possess advanced analytical capabilities, strong financial interpretation skills, and the ability to independently prepare and analyze complete financial statements and management reports. This position offers a significant opportunity for a finance professional to impact the operational efficiency of a logistics leader. You will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, managing taxation and statutory compliance, and ensuring robust cash flow management. Additionally, the role involves managing accounts receivables and payables, budgeting, and cost control to maintain the company's financial health. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of logistics and transport operational finance and be proficient in using modern ERP systems to streamline accounting processes.

Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree in accountancy, Accounting & Finance, or BCom Accounting from a recognized institution.
A minimum of 4 years of total professional experience in the accounting or finance field.
At least 2 years of specific previous accounting experience within the logistics or transportation sector.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling and complex data analysis.
Professional accounting certification such as CPA (T), ACCA, CIMA, or CFA is highly preferred.
Proven ability to independently prepare and analyze complete financial statements and management reports.
Deep knowledge of taxation laws and statutory compliance requirements in Tanzania.
Extensive experience in managing accounts receivables and payables within a high-volume environment.
Strong skills in budgeting, cost control, and strategic cash flow management.
Proficiency in using professional accounting software or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
