SHOP ATTENDANT (1 POSITION) @ CMG HOTELS LIMITED
CMG Hotels Limited is looking for a proactive and customer-focused Shop Attendant to manage our hotel's retail outlet. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting guests with their purchases, managing inventory, maintaining an attractive shop display, and ensuring a smooth and efficient shopping experience. This position requires someone with a keen eye for detail, strong sales acumen, and a commitment to providing outstanding service. You will handle transactions, answer product inquiries, and ensure the shop remains well-stocked and visually appealing. This is an opportunity to contribute to the overall guest experience by offering quality products and friendly service within a premium hotel setting.The Shop Attendant will be responsible for daily opening and closing procedures, reconciling cash registers, and conducting regular stock checks. They will also be expected to upsell and cross-sell products where appropriate, provide product knowledge to customers, and handle returns or exchanges efficiently. Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and organization within the shop is paramount. The role demands flexibility to work various shifts to accommodate the hotel's operational needs and maximize sales opportunities.
Key Requirements
Relevant education in retail, business, or a related field.
Previous experience as a Shop Attendant, Sales Assistant, or in a retail environment.
Excellent communication skills in both Swahili and English for customer interaction.
Be honest, trustworthy, and dedicated to providing excellent customer service.
Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as per the shop's operating hours.
Proficiency in operating a point-of-sale (POS) system and handling cash transactions.
Strong organizational skills for stock management and display.
Customer-focused approach with a friendly and helpful demeanor.
Ability to maintain a clean and attractive shop environment.
Knowledge of basic sales techniques and inventory control.
