CASHIER (2 POSITIONS) @ CMG HOTELS LIMITED
CMG Hotels Limited is seeking diligent and trustworthy Cashiers to manage financial transactions across various outlets within our hotel. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately processing payments, managing cash floats, and providing excellent customer service to our guests. This position requires individuals who are detail-oriented, have strong numerical skills, and can maintain composure in a busy environment. You will operate point-of-sale systems, handle cash and credit card transactions, and ensure all financial procedures are followed meticulously. The successful candidate must be able to handle multiple transactions efficiently and provide a friendly, welcoming experience for all customers. Flexibility to work different shifts, including peak hours, is required.
Key Requirements
Relevant education in business, accounting, or a related field.
Prior experience as a Cashier, preferably in a hotel, restaurant, or retail setting.
Good communication skills in both Swahili and English for customer interactions.
Be honest, reliable, and highly attentive to detail in handling financial transactions.
Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, within a fast-paced hotel environment.
Proficiency in handling cash, credit card transactions, and operating POS systems accurately.
Strong mathematical skills for calculating change and reconciling tills.
Excellent customer service skills and a pleasant demeanor.
Ability to maintain a clean and organized workstation.
Knowledge of basic accounting principles for daily reconciliation.
