CASHIER @ CMAT GROUP LIMITED
CMAT Group Limited is a leading provider of high-quality yogurt and natural milk in Tanzania, committed to uplifting health by sourcing fresh milk from local farms. We are looking for a professional Cashier to join our Finance department at our Dar Es Salaam location. This is a full-time on-site role where the successful candidate will be responsible for the integrity of daily financial transactions and providing exceptional service to our customers. The position reports directly to the Finance Manager and plays a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our retail operations.
In this role, you will handle various forms of payment including cash, mobile money, and bank cards while ensuring all receipts are issued accurately. Key responsibilities include balancing the cash register at the end of every shift, preparing daily and monthly cash reports, and supporting the team with inventory recording when necessary. We seek an individual who is honest, detail-oriented, and capable of working under pressure while maintaining a high level of accuracy in record-keeping. Key Requirements
At least 1 year of experience in cashiering, finance, or a related field.
Diploma or Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field.
Basic knowledge of accounting and financial transactions.
Proven experience in handling cash and using POS systems.
Knowledge of inventory handling is an added advantage.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel for record-keeping.
Strong numerical and record-keeping skills with high attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
High level of integrity and honesty in handling cash and records.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for customer interaction.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Familiarity with ERP systems is considered an added advantage.
