UNDERGROUND MINING ENGINEER TECHNICIAN @ CLEVELAND MINE & SERVICES COMPANY LIMITED (CMS)
Cleveland Mine & Services Company Limited (CMS) is a rapidly growing mining organization headquartered in the Biharamulo District of the Kagera Region. The company currently manages active gold mining operations within the Lake Victoria Gold Fields. We are seeking a highly experienced Underground Mining Engineer/Technician to become an integral part of our operational team. This role is crucial for maintaining our standards of excellence in mining and expanding our footprint in the region.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily underground operations, ensuring that all activities align with strict safety, compliance, and production efficiency standards. Key responsibilities include managing on-site personnel, coordinating heavy equipment, monitoring daily targets, and strictly enforcing environmental and safety protocols. Additionally, the role involves supervising maintenance for hoisting systems and underground infrastructure to ensure seamless production cycles. Possible work locations include the Lake Victoria Gold Fields area within the Kagera Region.

Key Requirements
Demonstrate not less than three years of working experience in underground mining activities.
Experience overseeing underground shafts with a depth not less than 130m deep.
Demonstrate knowledge, skills and practice in handling Explosive store or Magazine.
A University degree or diploma in Mining is required.
Possession of an active Blasting Certificate will be given priority.
Ability to supervise daily on-site underground mining activities to meet production targets.
Capability to enforce health, underground shaft safety and environmental policies.
Supervise hoisting and underground mining infrastructure maintenance including scheduled services.
Prepare detailed reports on production, costs, and equipment performance.
Strong leadership skills for managing on-site personnel and coordinating heavy equipment.
Commitment to maintaining a corruption-free work environment.
Ability to work in the Lake Victoria Gold Fields area.
