QUANTITY SURVEYOR @ CITYBLUEHOTELS
citybluehotels is looking for a qualified and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all costs relating to building and civil engineering projects, from the initial feasibility studies through to the completion of the construction. This critical role involves ensuring that projects are completed within budget and to the required specifications, contributing significantly to the financial success and operational efficiency of our ventures.Key responsibilities will include preparing tender and contract documents, performing risk and value management, and cost control. The successful candidate will also be involved in identifying potential commercial risks and opportunities, providing expert advice on contractual matters, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to significant projects within a reputable organization. The role is based in Masaki, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
Key Requirements
Bachelor's Degree (BSc) in Quantity Surveying or Building Economics.
Experience working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor with a Class I contractor.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in quantity surveying.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in construction software (e.g., AutoCAD, BIM).
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Knowledge of construction contracts and legal regulations.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Experience in cost estimation and budgeting.
