China Petroleum Pipeline Engineering Co., Ltd. (CPP) is seeking a highly competent and experienced Completion Engineer to join the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) project team in Tanzania. This critical role involves designing and planning comprehensive well completion programs that align with reservoir and production requirements. The selected candidate will be responsible for specifying essential equipment such as tubing, packers, valves, and sand control systems while supervising on-site installation and execution to ensure safety and efficiency. Beyond technical design, the Completion Engineer will analyze well testing and performance data to optimize productivity and recommend necessary stimulation techniques. The role requires close coordination with drilling, reservoir, and production teams to execute well interventions and workovers effectively. Maintaining strict compliance with HSE policies and international standards is mandatory, as is the preparation of detailed technical reports, cost estimates, and operational plans for the EACOP project.
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related technical field.
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience specifically in well completion operations.
In-depth knowledge of completion design, downhole tools, and maintaining well integrity.
Previous experience working on large-scale onshore pipeline or major oil and gas projects.
Proven track record of managing field operations and troubleshooting complex technical issues.
Excellent analytical skills for interpreting well testing and performance data.
Strong communication and reporting skills for preparing technical documentation and cost estimates.
Familiarity with International Finance Corporation (IFC) standards and strict HSE compliance.
Ability to work effectively under pressure in demanding field environments.
Strong collaborative skills to coordinate with cross-functional drilling and production teams.
