This role involves partnering with a leading data centre operator as an Electrical Engineer specialized in HV/LV systems. It is a hands-on, site-based position located in Greater London, designed for professionals who thrive in high-availability and mission-critical environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of vital systems, including UPS, switchgear, transformers, and generators. Your technical decisions will directly influence uptime, efficiency, and overall infrastructure performance within the facility.

In addition to routine maintenance, you will oversee DCIM platform monitoring and infrastructure optimization. Key responsibilities include capacity planning, load balancing, and implementing redundancy strategies to ensure continuous operation. You will also lead planned maintenance schedules, manage incident responses, and support commissioning for upgrades or expansion projects. Key Requirements

4+ years of HV/LV experience involving UPS, switchgear, transformers, and generators. Previous experience working within a Data Centre environment is highly preferred. Familiarity with DCIM platform monitoring and infrastructure monitoring tools. Relevant electrical qualifications such as HNC, HND, NVQ, or an equivalent technical degree. Strong health and safety awareness including permit-to-work systems and HV operations. Proven ability in capacity planning, load balancing, and developing redundancy strategies. Experience managing planned maintenance schedules and rapid incident response protocols. Technical proficiency in commissioning, upgrades, and supporting expansion projects. In-depth knowledge of and compliance with UK electrical standards and safety regulations. Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to make technical decisions in high-pressure environments.
