ACCOUNTANT (1 POSITION) @ CHAMEHAIYU
Chamehaiyu is looking for a meticulous and experienced Accountant to join our finance department in Tanzania. This essential role involves managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and providing accurate financial insights to support decision-making. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and a commitment to maintaining financial integrity. We are seeking one dedicated professional to uphold our financial standards and contribute to our operational efficiency.The Accountant will be responsible for a range of duties including preparing and submitting timely financial reports, managing accounts payable and receivable, and performing bank reconciliations. You will ensure the professional execution of daily financial tasks, contribute to budget preparation, and monitor expenditures. Additionally, this role involves maintaining accurate financial documentation, assisting with audits, and supporting the achievement of company goals and objectives through robust financial management practices.
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline.
Minimum of 2-3 years of direct working experience in an accounting or finance position.
Must possess a valid driving license and be able to drive for company-related tasks.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for internal and external stakeholders.
Good computer proficiency, including advanced skills in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, SAP) and MS Excel.
A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail in financial record-keeping and data entry.
Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
Comprehensive understanding of local tax laws, regulations, and financial reporting standards.
Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a team environment.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
