DIRECTIONAL DRILL DRILLER / FOREMAN (HDD) @ CELNET
Celnet is currently seeking a dedicated Directional Drill Driller / Foreman (HDD) to join our operations in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This position is integral to our underground fiber and utility construction projects, requiring a professional who can lead field activities with precision and a strong focus on safety. The role involves overseeing the entire drilling process from setup to completion, ensuring all utility standards and project requirements are met consistently.
The core responsibilities include guiding bore paths, monitoring drill head tracking, and coordinating closely with field crews to ensure accurate and safe HDD operations. As a foreman, you will be expected to manage crew performance, troubleshoot technical issues on-site, and maintain equipment to ensure operational efficiency. This role is offered on a Full-Time or Contract basis, providing a significant opportunity for experienced professionals to contribute to major infrastructure development projects.

Key Requirements
Proven experience operating Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) equipment.
Demonstrated history working in underground fiber and utility construction.
Ability to accurately guide bore paths and monitor drill head tracking systems.
Strong leadership skills to coordinate and manage field crews effectively.
In-depth knowledge of safety protocols specifically for HDD and excavation sites.
Capability to read and interpret utility maps, blueprints, and engineering plans.
Physical ability to work in outdoor environments and handle the physical demands of construction.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL is a plus.
Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and supervisors.
Strong problem-solving abilities to navigate unexpected underground obstacles.
Willingness to work flexible hours including Full-Time or Contract schedules.
