CDS TECHNOLOGIES TZA LTD is seeking a motivated and skilled Design Engineer to join our innovative team in the telecommunications sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting feasibility studies and site surveys, analyzing existing data to determine cable routing, and modeling network designs using advanced information systems. You will play a crucial role in creating precise execution plans for cabinets, wiring, box positioning, and connections to ensure high-quality service delivery.
In addition to design tasks, the role involves complex technical calculations, such as determining network capacities, optical signal attenuation, and infrastructure load testing for poles. The Design Engineer will also manage the monitoring and updating of project documentation, ensuring that post-installation modifications are accurately integrated into as-built drawings to reflect the actual network infrastructure.

Key Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Telecommunication or a related field
Minimum of 3 years of professional design experience
Proficiency in AutoCAD, QGIS, and ArcGIS software
Experience with FTTH-specific software and design principles
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to resolve complex geographical and technical constraints
Sound knowledge of telecommunications standards and regulations
Capability to perform technical infrastructure load calculations
Experience in mapping cable routes and site survey documentation
Strong communication skills for inter-departmental collaboration
