CBM360TIV is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Painting Inspector to join our operations in Geita, Tanzania. This pivotal role involves the oversight of all coating quality, surface preparation, and corrosion protection activities across our mining facilities and industrial equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all protective coating systems meet rigorous technical specifications, industry standards, and long-term asset integrity requirements, which are crucial for our operational success.

The Painting Inspector will conduct thorough inspections of blasting and surface preparation processes, verify coating thickness and adhesion quality, and ensure full compliance with project safety standards. Beyond technical inspections, the role requires the preparation of comprehensive quality documentation and the coordination of corrective actions for any identified defects. By maintaining high standards of corrosion management, you will play a key role in extending the lifecycle of critical assets and ensuring the reliability of our mining operations in the Geita region.

Key Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Materials or Industrial Engineering. NACE Coating Inspector certification (Level 1 or 2 preferred). 3–5 years of coating inspection or corrosion protection experience. Proven experience in the mining, oil & gas, or heavy industrial sectors. Proficiency in using coating inspection instruments like Elcometers and surface profile gauges. In-depth knowledge of protective coating systems and corrosion control mechanisms. Strong understanding of international surface preparation standards such as SSPC, ISO, and NACE. Excellent technical reporting and quality assurance documentation skills. Ability to identify coating defects and coordinate effective corrective actions. Commitment to occupational health and safety standards in challenging industrial environments.
