ACCOUNTANT @ CAPTAIN CARGO
Captain Cargo is seeking a dedicated and professional Accountant to join their team. The primary responsibility of this role is to manage and maintain accurate financial records while ensuring strict compliance with the Tanzania Company Act 2002 and various tax regulations issued by the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA). The successful candidate will support the company's financial health and contribute to informed decision-making processes through precise reporting and analysis.
In this role, you will be expected to utilize various accounting software platforms and navigate TRA electronic systems efficiently. The position requires a candidate who can perform effectively under pressure and meet critical financial deadlines. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in specialized sectors such as auditing, construction, logistics, or transportation, as these backgrounds provide valuable context for the company's operations.

Key Requirements
Strong understanding of Tanzania financial and tax regulations
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Zoho, Tally, or ERP systems)
High level of integrity and attention to detail
Familiarity with TRA electronic systems (e.g., IDRAS, e-Filing, EFDs)
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Minimum experience of 1 to 3 years in a similar role
Experience in an audit firm, construction, logistics, or transportation is an added advantage
Ability to maintain accurate financial records and ledgers
Strong analytical skills for financial decision-making support
Commitment to maintaining applicable financial reporting standards
