TECHNICAL BUSINESS ANALYST (2 POSITIONS) @ CAHEAD
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Business Analyst for a 12-month contract position based in Sandton, South Africa. This role operates on a hybrid model, requiring two days per week in the office. The ideal candidate will act as a vital link between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating complex business needs into clear functional and technical specifications. You will primarily work within API-driven and Microsoft-based service architectures, ensuring that all backend system interactions are well-documented and aligned with organizational goals.
Your daily responsibilities will include participating in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning and backlog grooming, managing work items through Jira, and collaborating closely with Developers, Architects, and QA teams. You will be responsible for preparing comprehensive documentation, including Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), and detailed user stories. This position is ideal for an intermediate to upper-intermediate professional with 5 to 7 years of experience who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and possesses a deep understanding of data flows and system integrations.

Key Requirements
5 to 7 years of experience in a Technical Business Analyst role or similar capacity.
Strong understanding of backend systems, data flows, and complex system integrations.
Deep knowledge of REST API and service integration protocols.
Proven experience working within Microservices or Enterprise-level architectures.
Hands-on proficiency with Jira for managing Agile delivery and backlogs.
Solid expertise in Agile and Scrum methodologies and participating in related ceremonies.
Exceptional documentation skills, specifically in creating BRDs, FRDs, and technical workflows.
Ability to translate business requirements into detailed user stories and technical specs.
Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to bridge business and technical teams.
Experience collaborating with Architects and QA teams for solution validation.
Analytical mindset with a focus on solution mapping and process analysis.
Familiarity with Microsoft service-oriented architectures.
