C. Steinweg Bridge Tanzania Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transport Manager (Shorthaul & Linehaul) to join our operations department in Dar es Salaam. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading end-to-end transport brokerage operations, optimizing routes, and ensuring maximum profitability while maintaining the highest service standards. This role requires a proactive leader capable of managing complex logistics networks and fostering growth within the operations team.
Key responsibilities include developing and managing carrier networks, negotiating competitive rates, and driving continuous improvement in our standard operating procedures and Transport Management System. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of local and long-distance transport logistics in East Africa, ensuring full compliance with risk management protocols and documentation standards while providing exceptional leadership to the department.

Key Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transport Management or related field.
3 - 7 years of experience in transport brokerage, 3PL, or freight logistics.
At least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
Strong knowledge of local and long-distance transport in East Africa.
Proficiency in Transport Management Systems (TMS) and load-matching.
Proven ability in SOP implementation and process improvement.
Strong analytical, negotiation, leadership, and communication skills.
Ability to manage cross-functional teams and operational workflows.
Deep understanding of safety, compliance, and risk management in transport.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and digital logistics tools.
