DRILL RIG FITTER (1 POSITION) @ BUCKREEF GOLD MINING COMPANY LTD
Buckreef Gold Mining Company LTD is seeking a skilled Drill Rig Fitter to join our technical team at the Geita Region mine site. This role is central to our mechanical maintenance operations, specifically focusing on the upkeep and repair of various drill rigs including engines, pumps, and compressors. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full lifecycle of mechanical maintenance, from routine inspections to complex troubleshooting and emergency repairs.
As this position is located at a remote mine site, candidates must be prepared for rotational shifts and the unique challenges of a mining environment. Responsibilities also include maintaining meticulous records of maintenance activities and managing the inventory of spare parts to ensure minimal downtime. This is an excellent opportunity for a Tanzanian citizen with strong mechanical engineering background to contribute to a major joint venture between TRX Gold and STAMICO.

Key Requirements
Diploma in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering
3+ years experience on DD, RC, and BH rigs
Proficiency with diagnostic tools and computer skills
Valid driver’s license
Ability to repair engines, pumps, and compressors
Expertise in troubleshooting mechanical issues
Experience in performing preventive and routine maintenance
Skill in maintaining records and spare parts inventory
Knowledge of industrial safety standards in mining
Ability to work in remote locations
Physical stamina for demanding field work
