ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN – ONSHORE OPERATIONS @ BRUNEL
We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Technician for Onshore Operations to join a leading client in the oil and gas sector based in Dubai. This permanent position involves a rotational work schedule and is open to candidates of all nationalities, including Emiratis. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining field facilities and ensuring the safety and efficiency of electrical systems within onshore environments.
The role requires extensive experience with electrical isolation procedures across various voltage levels, including LV, MV, and HV systems ranging from 400V to 33kV. Candidates should have a strong background working in hazardous areas and possess the necessary technical qualifications, such as a degree or diploma in electrical engineering. Key Requirements
5+ years post-certificate maintenance experience in the oil & gas industry
Hands-on experience with electrical isolation procedures (LV, MV, HV systems – 400V, 3.3kV, 33kV)
Experience working in hazardous areas (Class 1 Div I & II / Ex Zones 1, 2, 3)
Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field
COMPEX or IECEX certification is an advantage
Strong understanding of safety protocols and isolation procedures
Ability to work effectively on a rotational schedule
Proficient in reading and interpreting complex electrical schematics
Experience in maintenance of oil & gas field facilities
Excellent troubleshooting skills for onshore field operations
