CONSULTANT – AFRICAN MARKET DEVELOPMENT (BESS & RENEWABLE ENERGY) @ BRIDGE TALENT GROUP
This position offers an exciting opportunity for a Consultant specialized in African Market Development to join a leading international renewable energy company. The primary focus of this role is to spearhead market expansion efforts within the West African region, specifically targeting the Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and solar sectors. You will be responsible for defining strategic pathways for market entry, ensuring that the company's solutions are well-positioned to meet the growing demand for sustainable power across the continent. This role demands a proactive individual who can operate independently while maintaining a high level of commercial focus.
In addition to strategic planning, the consultant will actively build and manage distributor networks and channel partnerships. By leveraging an existing network of EPCs, developers, and utility providers, you will facilitate project lead generation and support the team through to project closure. The engagement is structured as a flexible consulting arrangement, allowing for a dynamic work environment while contributing significantly to the renewable energy landscape in Africa. The role is based in Accra, Ghana, but involves oversight of broader market trends and opportunities throughout West Africa.

Key Requirements
5+ years’ experience in renewable energy, power, or infrastructure sectors
Strong professional network within the Ghana and West Africa energy market
Extensive experience in business development, channel sales, or strategic partnerships
Technical understanding of BESS, solar, or hybrid energy systems
Ability to work independently and drive commercial growth without supervision
Demonstrated capability in developing market entry and expansion strategies
Proven ability to build distributor and channel partner networks
Expertise in generating leads and supporting complex project closures
Skilled in building relationships with EPCs, developers, and government stakeholders
Capacity to identify and analyze renewable energy opportunities and market trends
