HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER @ BLUECOAST
BLUECOAST is currently seeking a professional and experienced Human Resource Officer to join our team in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. This role is crucial for supporting all human resource functions within our transportation and logistics operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving key HR initiatives, including recruitment, performance management, and ensuring full compliance with both national labor laws and internal company policies to maintain a high-standard workplace environment. The successful applicant will manage the end-to-end employee lifecycle, from initial onboarding to contract renewals and terminations. Beyond administrative tasks, the HR Officer will proactively handle employee relations, resolve workplace issues, and oversee safety compliance across company premises and vehicles. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can work effectively under moderate pressure while maintaining professional communication standards in both English and Swahili.
Key Requirements
Degree or equivalent qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of hands-on HR experience.
Background in logistics, fleet management, or manufacturing is an added advantage.
Sound knowledge of Tanzanian labour laws and HR management best practices.
Proficient in English and Swahili (written and spoken).
Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to perform effectively under moderate work pressure.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Ability to lead end-to-end recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding procedures.
Experience in administering employee rewards, benefits, and compensation structures.
Proven capability to manage labour contract signing, renewals, and terminations.
Strong communication and coordination skills for resolving workplace issues.
