OPERATIONS COACH @ BAYER
The Operations Coach (OC) serves as a key technical leader within Bayer’s Crop Science division in Tanzania. This role is responsible for overseeing the field-testing network, ensuring that all research operations—from planting to harvesting—are executed with precision, quality, and strict adherence to internal standards. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between innovative research and field-level implementation to drive productivity and sustainability.
Beyond managing field operations, the Operations Coach acts as a mentor and developer of talent, fostering a high-performance culture within both permanent and temporary staff. The position involves complex stakeholder management, budget oversight, and the continuous improvement of research processes through rigorous data analysis and modern agricultural technology. Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Agronomy, Plant Breeding, Agriculture, or a related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience in a field-testing environment.
Proven experience in agricultural research or large-scale crop production operations.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications.
Strong understanding of crop production, crop protection, and modern farming practices.
Knowledge of statistical programs and principles of experimental design.
Strong data management, analytical, and visualization skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities and ability to coach team members effectively.
Experience in managing budgets, financial forecasting, and operational resources.
