ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE @ BAWE ISLAND ZANZIBAR
Bawe Island Zanzibar is a luxury 5-star resort surrounded by the sea in Africa, located just 15 minutes from Stone Town in Zanzibar. We are currently seeking a qualified Accounts Receivable specialist to join our Finance Department and manage incoming payments and credit control operations. This role is specifically open to local Zanzibarian or Tanzanian candidates with relevant experience in the hospitality sector.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate recording of guest bills, managing credit accounts, and following up on outstanding payments to maintain healthy cash flow. You will work closely with other departments within the resort to reconcile accounts and provide detailed financial reports to management. The role requires a candidate who can maintain the high standards expected of a luxury 5-star environment while managing financial accuracy.

Key Requirements
Minimum of two years’ experience in a similar accounts receivable role.
Local Zanzibarian or Tanzanian nationality.
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for guest interaction.
Ability to work in a fast-paced 5-star resort environment.
Strong understanding of credit management and collection procedures.
Degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Ability to reconcile complex guest accounts and billing statements.
Knowledge of hospitality-specific POS and Property Management Systems (PMS).
