ENGINEER (PSI) @ BARSYL
We are looking for a qualified PSI (Power Supply Installation) Engineer to oversee power infrastructure for railway systems in Tanzania. As a client-side representative, you will supervise the installation and commissioning of traction power supply systems, including substations and related electrical components. Your role ensures that the project maintains high standards of safety and efficiency throughout the construction phase.
Ideal candidates should possess a minimum of 5-7 years of specialized experience in railway PSI projects. This role demands a strong understanding of 1×25kV and 2×25kV power distribution systems and excellent site coordination skills. The project duration is 2 to 3 years, with provision for food, housing, and transport. We are prioritizing candidates who can join the team immediately in East Africa. Salary: 1.5L pm + Free Food + Free Accomodation + Free Transportation.

Key Requirements
Minimum 5-7 years of experience in Power Supply Installation (PSI) for railways.
Expertise in 1×25kV and 2×25kV traction power supply systems.
Proven experience in the installation and commissioning of electrical substations.
Deep understanding of QA/QC management in large-scale infrastructure projects.
Strong site management skills for coordinating complex electrical works.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant technical discipline.
Knowledge of protective relaying and switchgear operations in traction systems.
Ability to interpret complex electrical schematics and detailed technical drawings.
Prior experience in client-side roles for metro or railway projects is preferred.
Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment in East Africa.
