ENGINEER (OHE) @ BARSYL
Barsyl is actively seeking an OHE (Overhead Equipment) Engineer to join our client-side team for major Metro Rail and Railway projects in Tanzania. This role is critical for the oversight and technical management of electrification systems, specifically involving 1×25kV and 2×25kV OCS and ROCS traction systems. The engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all site works align with project specifications and international quality standards.
The position requires a professional with at least 5 to 7 years of experience in the railway sector. In addition to technical expertise, the role involves significant site management and QA/QC responsibilities. This is a long-term contract for 2 to 3 years with the possibility of extension, offering benefits such as free food, accommodation, and transportation. Immediate joiners are preferred for this urgent requirement. Salary: 1.5L pm + Free Food + Free Accomodation + Free Transportation.

Key Requirements
Minimum 5-7 years of experience in metro/railway electrification projects.
Strong technical knowledge in 1×25kV and 2×25kV traction systems.
Proficiency in Overhead Contact System (OCS) and Rigid Overhead Contact System (ROCS).
Demonstrated experience in QA/QC procedures specifically for railway infrastructure.
Extensive experience in site management within a construction environment.
Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
Familiarity with international railway safety standards and electrification protocols.
Excellent communication skills for client-side representation and reporting.
Ability to lead and supervise on-site technical teams for installation and testing.
Readiness to relocate to Tanzania for a duration of 2 to 3 years.
