Baraza Resort & Spa, a prestigious part of The Zanzibar Collection, is actively seeking a qualified and highly motivated IT Technician to join its esteemed team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the seamless operation of IT infrastructure within a luxury resort environment located in Zanzibar, Tanzania. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth functioning of all computer hardware, software, and network systems, directly supporting the resort's operational excellence.
The IT Technician will be responsible for providing comprehensive technical support to staff, resolving IT-related issues promptly, and maintaining all IT equipment. This position requires a proactive individual with a strong understanding of current IT best practices and the ability to adapt to new technologies. The ideal candidate will also possess excellent communication skills to interact effectively with various departments and ensure user satisfaction.

Key Requirements
Certificate, Diploma, or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
Minimum 2 years of relevant IT support experience, with hospitality experience being an added advantage
Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, networking, and system administration
Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve IT issues efficiently
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration and user support
Ability to manage and maintain IT infrastructure within an organizational setting
Familiarity with various operating systems and common business applications
Proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential IT problems
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team
