CLEARING AND FORWARDING MANAGER @ AXIA TANZANIA
Our client, a leading organization in the logistics and supply chain sector, is seeking an experienced Clearing and Forwarding Manager to join their team in Dar es Salaam. This professional will play a pivotal role in managing end-to-end import clearance operations and ensuring total compliance with Tanzanian trade regulations. The position requires a deep understanding of customs procedures, documentation control, and effective coordination with various stakeholders including shipping lines, ICDs, and government agencies.

Key Requirements
Diploma in Clearing and Forwarding or a related field
Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in shipping, clearing, and forwarding operations
Strong working knowledge of customs procedures and port operations in Tanzania
Experience in handling regulatory authorities such as TMDA, TBS, and GCLA
Proven ability to manage complex logistics documentation and multi-stakeholder coordination
Proficiency in professional communication, including formal correspondence and reporting
Strong understanding of Letters of Credit (L/Cs) and import finance processes
Ability to manage relationships with external clearing agents for efficient processing
Experience handling claims with suppliers, insurance providers, and shipping lines
Expertise in coordinating cargo inspection processes with international inspection companies
