MID-LEVEL DRAFTSMAN (TEKLA MODELER & DETAILER) @ AUTOMECH GROUP
Automech Group is seeking a dedicated Mid-Level Draftsman specializing in Tekla Modeling and Detailing to join our engineering team in the United Arab Emirates. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing accurate 3D models and preparing comprehensive shop and erection drawings for various structural steel, industrial, and commercial projects. This role requires a high level of detail and a deep understanding of fabrication standards to ensure all project specifications and quality requirements are met.
As a key member of the design department, you will collaborate closely with engineers, production teams, and project managers to review contract drawings and manage project scopes. Responsibilities include generating Bill of Materials (BOMs), tracking RFIs (Request for Information), and modifying models based on site-specific conditions or client feedback. Key Requirements
Diploma or B.E/B.Tech in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in Tekla Structures.
Proven experience working on structural steel, industrial, and commercial projects.
Strong understanding of fabrication and erection drawings.
Familiarity with Bill of Materials (BOM) preparation and engineering standards.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office tools.
Knowledge of API standards is considered a plus.
Ability to develop accurate 3D models using Tekla Structures.
Experience in raising and tracking Requests for Information (RFIs).
Strong communication and coordination skills to work with multidisciplinary teams.
Detail-oriented mindset with high accuracy in drafting and modeling.
