TAILOR ASSISTANT @ AS RECRUIT
AS Recruit is searching for a detail-oriented Tailor Assistant to support the senior tailoring staff in our garment production facility. The Assistant will help with fabric preparation, basic sewing tasks, finishing work, and maintaining equipment to ensure the production process runs smoothly. This role is perfect for a hardworking individual looking to gain hands-on experience in a professional fashion setting.
You will work closely with lead tailors and supervisors to ensure high-quality output and timely delivery of orders. Tasks include fabric marking, button attachment, ironing, and general workshop maintenance. A strong commitment to quality and the willingness to learn new techniques are essential for success in this role. The starting salary range for this position is TZS 300,000 – 400,000 per month.

Key Requirements
Proven experience in the related field
Ability to sew different styles of women’s clothing
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
Excellent attention to detail and customer service skills
Honest, reliable, and able to work under pressure
Fluent in both English and Kiswahili
Willingness to learn industrial sewing techniques
Basic knowledge of garment construction steps
Ability to handle fabric and patterns with care
Strong reliability and time management
