UNDERGROUND MAINTENANCE MANAGER @ APEX WORKFORCE SOLUTIONS
On behalf of our client in the mining industry, Apex Workforce Solutions is seeking an experienced Underground Maintenance Manager to join their operations in the Kagera region. This role is pivotal in overseeing the maintenance of underground mining equipment and infrastructure, ensuring that all mechanical and electrical systems are functioning at peak efficiency to support high-performance operations. The successful candidate will lead a diverse team of technicians and specialists to maintain a safe and productive working environment while adhering to strict mining industry regulations.

Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in mining maintenance management.
Proven expertise in underground mining operations and equipment.
Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations (MSHA or local equivalent).
Experience in managing maintenance budgets and resource allocation.
Proficiency in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
Strong project management skills for overseeing large-scale repairs.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
