Our client in the Steel Roofing Manufacturing Sector is seeking a Procurement Officer to manage the acquisition of materials and services essential for production. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing reliable suppliers, negotiating favorable terms, and ensuring that all purchasing activities align with the company's cost-efficiency and quality standards.
Working from Dar es Salaam, the Procurement Officer will oversee the end-to-end supply chain process, maintaining optimal inventory levels to prevent manufacturing downtime. You will collaborate closely with the production and finance departments to forecast needs and implement procurement strategies that support the long-term growth of the manufacturing facility.

Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Proven experience working in a procurement role within the steel or manufacturing sector.
Strong negotiation skills with a track record of achieving cost savings.
Proficiency in ERP software and Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
Comprehensive knowledge of local and international sourcing regulations.
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse vendors.
Analytical mindset for assessing market trends and conducting price analysis.
Experience in managing complex inventory systems and warehouse logistics.
High degree of professional ethics and integrity in financial dealings.
Excellent communication and organizational skills to meet production deadlines.
