The Officer for New Product Development (NPD) role in Dar es Salaam involves leading the innovation pipeline for our pharmaceutical client. This position focuses on the research and development of new formulations, bringing them from concept through to commercial-scale production. You will be tasked with identifying market needs, developing stable formulations, and ensuring all new products meet the rigorous standards for efficacy and safety.
The role requires a blend of scientific expertise and strategic thinking to help the company expand its product portfolio. Working closely with the regulatory affairs and production teams, you will navigate the complexities of product launches in a competitive market environment. Your contribution will be vital in keeping the company ahead of clinical and consumer trends in the pharmaceutical sector.

Key Requirements
Advanced degree in Pharmacy, Pharmacology, or Pharmaceutical Technology.
Proven experience in R&D or Product Development within the pharma industry.
Knowledge of formulation development for various dosage forms.
Familiarity with stability testing and pilot-scale manufacturing.
Understanding of regulatory requirements for new drug registration.
Ability to research and source new raw materials and APIs.
Creative problem-solving skills for overcoming formulation challenges.
Experience in conducting feasibility studies for new product ideas.
Strong project management skills to lead development timelines.
Excellent collaboration skills to work with marketing and production teams.
