Our client in the mining sector is seeking a Mine Survey Technician to join their operations in Kagera, Tanzania. This position involves providing accurate spatial data and measurements to support the mine's planning, development, and daily operations. You will use advanced surveying equipment to map underground tunnels, open-pit boundaries, and stockpiles, ensuring that all mining activities are conducted according to the approved engineering designs.
The Mine Survey Technician plays a critical role in volume calculations, boundary marking, and the maintenance of up-to-date mine maps. You will work closely with the mining engineers and geologists to provide precise data that informs production targets and safety planning. This role requires a high level of accuracy and the ability to operate in both underground and surface environments, contributing to the overall success and safety of the mining project.

Key Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Land Surveying or Geomatics.
At least 3 years of experience in mine surveying (underground or open pit).
Proficiency in using Total Stations, GPS, and Laser Scanners.
Strong skills in surveying software such as AutoCAD, Surpac, or Vulcan.
Experience in performing volume calculations for stockpiles and excavations.
Ability to create and update detailed mine plans and maps.
High level of mathematical and analytical ability.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
Knowledge of mining regulations and safety standards.
Valid driver's license for traveling between survey sites.
