MANAGER: ENGINEERING, MECHANICAL - 1 POSITION @ APEX WORK FORCE
Apex Workforce Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineering Manager to join a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Dar es Salaam. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical integrity and operational efficiency of complex production machinery, including equipment for capsules, ointments, and liquid manufacturing. This role requires a hands-on leader who can manage maintenance planning and ensure that all packaging and filling lines operate at peak performance within strict pharmaceutical standards.
In addition to machinery oversight, the manager will play a critical role in managing plant utilities such as HVAC systems, boilers, and water treatment plants. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement project upgrades and utilize software tools like SAP and AutoCAD to document technical specifications and maintenance schedules. Key Requirements
Bachelor's Degree (BE/B.Tech) in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
At least 8 years of professional experience in engineering management.
Hands-on experience with pharmaceutical production equipment such as blenders and tablet compression machines.
Demonstrated expertise in maintenance planning for liquid manufacturing and filling lines.
Knowledge of HVAC systems and purified water systems specific to cleanroom environments.
Experience operating and maintaining boilers, chillers, and air compressors.
Proficiency in technical drawing using AutoCAD software.
Strong familiarity with SAP for inventory and maintenance management.
Ability to manage project implementation from design to commissioning.
Expertise in troubleshooting granulation and blister packing machinery.
