ICT OFFICER – INFRASTRUCTURE @ AMANA BANK TANZANIA
The ICT Officer – Infrastructure is responsible for the seamless operation and maintenance of Amana Bank’s core ICT systems. This role encompasses the installation, configuration, and ongoing support of servers, networks, and various hardware and software components essential for banking operations. The officer ensures high system availability, minimizes downtime through proactive monitoring, and manages critical infrastructure upgrades to support the bank's growing technical needs.
In addition to hardware and network management, the ICT Officer focuses on security, data integrity, and user support. Key tasks include managing disaster recovery procedures, performing regular backups, and enforcing ICT security controls. The officer serves as a bridge between technical vendors and the bank’s internal teams, providing high-level technical support to end users and participating in business projects that require infrastructure modernization.

Key Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in ICT, Computer Science, or related field.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in ICT infrastructure and network administration.
Strong knowledge of server installation, configuration, and maintenance (Windows/Linux).
Expertise in managing hardware and software assets across a banking network.
Proven experience in implementing ICT security controls and enforcing compliance policies.
Proficiency in managing user accounts, permissions, and directory service access rights.
Documented track record in performing data backups and disaster recovery procedures.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in high-pressure environments.
Ability to coordinate with ICT vendors and support technical procurement processes.
Willingness to participate in on-call support for critical incidents and handle emergencies.
Ability to recommend infrastructure upgrades and modernization initiatives based on industry trends.
