Almondz Global Infra Consultant Ltd. is seeking a highly experienced Team Leader / Senior Highway Engineer for an African Development Bank (AfDB) funded international assignment in Tanzania. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a multidisciplinary team in conducting a comprehensive technical audit of road and bridge infrastructure projects. This role involves overseeing project timelines, ensuring adherence to international engineering standards, and coordinating with stakeholders to deliver high-quality audit reports.
The position requires extensive expertise in highway design, construction supervision, and technical auditing. You will be expected to evaluate project progress, identify technical discrepancies, and provide strategic recommendations for improvement. As the primary point of contact for the audit team, the Team Leader must possess exceptional leadership and communication skills to navigate the complexities of an international development project while ensuring compliance with AfDB guidelines and local Tanzanian regulations.

Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
At least 15 years of experience in highway engineering and road construction projects.
Proven experience as a Team Leader on international donor-funded projects (e.g., AfDB, World Bank).
Demonstrated expertise in conducting technical audits for large-scale infrastructure.
In-depth knowledge of road and bridge design standards and construction techniques.
Strong understanding of procurement and contract management under FIDIC or similar conditions.
Excellent report writing and analytical skills for technical documentation.
Proficiency in English; knowledge of Swahili is an added advantage.
Willingness to relocate to or work on-site in various regions within Tanzania.
Professional registration with a recognized engineering board or institution.
